Park Potomac Drive-In
We are excited to host a drive-in movie experience in the parking lot of MoCo’s Founding Farmers in Potomac, MD.
We are committed to providing a fun and safe experience for our guests and our team with clear health and safety protocols. Please review the following policies for attending the drive-in movie, including our social distancing expectations, mask/PPE requirements, how to order food, parking, and going to the restroom. By attending the event, you are agreeing to follow these policies and be respectful of your fellow movie-goers, our team, and our neighborhood. Founding Farmers has the right to remove anyone from the event who does not follow these policies.
CHECKING IN AT THE GATE
- Enter the lot from Cadbury St.
- Please have your ticket ready for scanning.
- The driver of your vehicle should be wearing a mask at check in.
- When you check in, we will give you a flier with information about our safety protocols, parking, food ordering details, and restroom procedures.
- You will be directed to parking staff who will tell you where and how to park your vehicle.
PARKING POLICIES
- The parking team will direct you to a parking place. Once parked, you may not drive away until instructed by event staff.
- Large or tall vehicles will be guided to park on the sides, or back of the lot. The decision to direct your car to a specific space is at the discretion of the lot staff. Failure to follow these instructions may result in your removal from the event.
- If you have a hearing impairment and know you need to be able to read the movie captions, please notify parking team so you are parked closer to the screen.
- Once parked, all guests are asked to remain in their vehicles. There is no picnicking on the grounds, nor on your car’s roof, hood, truck, or truck’s bed, or standing outside of your vehicle. You may leave your vehicle to use the restroom or go pick up food (but if you order from us following instructions below, we will bring your order to your car). You may also arrive early to dine in our restaurant. Please follow social distancing and mask wearing guidelines when you are moving to and from your vehicle.
- NO ENGINE IDLING. Because we park cars closely together, your engine exhaust will affect the safety of others. You may start your engine periodically to keep the battery fresh, but for no more than one minute.
WATCHING THE MOVIE
- You are required to stay in your vehicle when watching the movie (see details in parking policies above).
- The sound for all movies will be broadcast to your car’s FM radio. There are no loudspeakers and the FM signal cannot be tuned into using a smartphone. It is important that you know how to play your car radio without having your car idling (in accessory mode). If this is not possible or your car does not have a radio, you will need to bring one.
- All films are also shown with Open Captions, but they may be hard to read depending on where you are parked.
WEATHER POLICIES
- In the event of a rain forecast, Founding Farmers may announce an event cancellation by 1:00pm on the day of the event. Your ticket may be used for the rescheduled rain date, to be announced.
- While the film is running, in the event of light rain, the film will continue. In the event of a thunderstorm, event staff will decide whether to continue or cancel the event. Cars will be allowed to exit the lot when it is safe to do so, and only under the direction of Drive-In staff.
FOOD ORDERING PROCEDURES
- In buying your ticket, you were given a $10 credit to use for food from MoCo’s Founding Farmers during the movie.
- Upon arrival, you will be provided with an informational card, including a QR Code for ordering Founding Farmers. Your $10 credit will automatically be applied to your order.
- Please note your parking spot number in the NOTES section of your order. This is important! We want to be sure we can deliver your order to you in a timely fashion with minimal interruption.
- All food and beverages must be ordered through QR Code via a smartphone.
- Your food will be brought to your car 20-25 min after your order is received. Please wear a mask when receiving your food.
RESTROOM PROCEDURE
- Restrooms are located in Founding Farmers.
- Text your request and your name to use either the men’s or women’s restroom to 202-465-0887 Our restroom attendants will reply when a stall becomes available.
- You must wear a mask or face covering to enter our restaurant and when you use the restroom.
- When leaving and returning to your vehicle, please practice safe social distancing, staying at least 6 feet away from others and wearing a mask.
GENERAL POLICIES
- No refunds or exchanges. If you cannot use your reservation, we recommend giving it to a friend to use.
- No walk-up or bike-in guests. All attendees must arrive in a motor vehicle, and must remain inside the vehicle, except to use the restrooms or pick up food, in accordance with the procedures set forth above.
